The International Show - BOOTH #A12October 23-29, 2015 The Park Avenue Armory
     Dai Ichi Arts, Ltd., one of the leading gallery specializes in contemporary Japanese ceramics since 1989 will be exhibiting at The International Show from October 23rd through 29th. Some of the outstanding artists presented will be FUKSMI Sueharu, HIGASHIDA Shigemasa, KAWASE Shinobu, KOHARA Yasuhiro, MATSUDA Yuriko, OHTANI Shiro, SHIGEMATSU Ayumi, SUZUKI Goro, SUZUKI Osamu, SUZUKI Sansei, SUHAMA Tomoko, SUTO Satoshi, TAKEUCHI Kozo, WADA Akira...Hight lights will be the pair of Oribe horses by SUZUKI Goro (1941- ). Large horses in the Momoyama Oribe style that has been painted with artist's original contemporary patterns related to his revolutionary Goribe (五利部) series. In the Goribe works, Goro combines many disparate ceramic styles into single, breathtaking works of art, incorporating elements of old Japanese culture and style into highly original and modern compositions. At 35 inches, this horses stand proud and tall in all of its Goribe splendor-only Goro could pull this off!And there will be an abstract horse by SUZUKI Osamu (1926-2001) as well.
